About the event
Kevin’s story is a remarkable one. Born in England and raised in Australia, he moved to New Zealand in 1983, initially planning to stay for just a few years. In 1984, he joined the newly established Cloudy Bay as its founding winemaker.
Over 25 vintages, Kevin helped create the distinctive Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc style that would become recognised around the world, playing a key role in putting New Zealand wine firmly on the international map.
After 25 years at Cloudy Bay, Kevin left in 2009 to establish Greywacke, his own vineyard and wine label, alongside his wife, Kimberley. Named after the grey sandstone bedrock found beneath much of Marlborough’s vineyards, Greywacke represents Kevin’s more personal expression of the region and its wines.
Enjoy a guided tasting of seven Greywacke wines, accompanied by a selection of cheeses, cured meats and hot snacks, while hearing more about Kevin’s journey and the wines that have shaped…
